The site has no sign-up forms and does not ask you for personal information.
Information we collect
Our web servers automatically log standard request data. This includes your IP address, the pages you request and your browser type. We keep these logs for security and system administration. We do not link them to anything that identifies you personally.
Analytics and cookies
We use two analytics services, PostHog and Google Analytics, to understand how people use the site. They record the pages you visit, how long you stay, the links and buttons you click, your browser and device type, and your approximate location, which they work out from your IP address.
Both set cookies, and PostHog also uses your browser’s storage, so they can tell when you come back. These hold a random ID, not your name or email address.
We may also use PostHog to record visits and see how people move through the pages: scrolling, mouse movements and clicks. These recordings hide the text on the page and anything you type.
PostHog stores its data in the United States and handles it under PostHog’s privacy policy (opens in new tab). Google handles Google Analytics data as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services (opens in new tab). We have turned off Google Analytics’ advertising features, and the site does not use advertising cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them. You can also stop Google Analytics from collecting data with Google’s opt-out browser add-on (opens in new tab).
Links to other sites
The site embeds a video hosted by YouTube using its privacy-enhanced player. Loading or playing the video connects your browser to YouTube, which may collect information under Google’s privacy policy (opens in new tab).
This site links to news reports, government documents and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Children
This site is not directed at children.
